Pratyusha Banerjee’s last words to Rahul Raj Singh



Controversies surrounding Pratyusha Banerjee’s suicide case don’t seem to end. On April 25, the Bombay HC granted anticipatory bail to Rahul Raj Singh, Pratyusha’s boyfriend, who is accused of abetting suicide of her.

According to recent developments, Justice Mridula Bhatkar, recently heard the last telephonic conversation between Pratyusha Banerjee and boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh, an hour before she committed suicide.

Pratyusha’s suicide case took a new turn on April 25, after Justice Mridula heard a three minute audio clip of the couple’s last conversation.

After hearing the audio clip, Rahul Raj singh was granted anticipatory bail. Mumbai tabloid Mid-Day published a part of the transcript from the last call Pratyusha made to Rahul.

Call duration: 201 seconds

Pratyusha: You cheater, tumne mujhe cheat kiya hai, mujhe mere maa baap se alag kar diya, ab dekho main kya karne ja rahi hoon (You cheater, you cheated on me, you separated me from my parents, now see what I do)

Rahul: What happened? I will talk to you once I reach home, I am on the way; till I reach, don’t do anything.

The public prosecutor claimed that the late actress hinted her suicide during her last call with beau Rahul. The public prosecutor said that Pratyusha and Rahul were in a live-in relationship.

On April 1, 2016, he left the house around 3.30 pm. At 3:43 there was a last call between Pratyusha and Rahul where they spoke for 201 seconds. She also stated when Rahul returned, he claimed he found Pratyusha to be hanging. Rahul was the person at whose instigation Pratyusha committed suicide said the public prosecutor, Usha Kejriwal. HC asked to show the circumstances of abetment. Police said that the investigation is going on. The recording of the last call was heard in the chamber by the court. Cops said the call recording is crucial in this case.
